My Time and My Mind

About My Time and My Mind:

A story of a man finding himself questioning his beliefs. Sitting on a street corner in Harare, Zimbabwe. The spirit of his distant ancestor overcomes his body, and he starts to question if what he is experiencing is real of a delusion brought on by his belief system.

Lyrics:

I remember walking around in Zimbabwe
You came on strong in the heat
(You) said "sit right down boy
You owe me.
Baby, you're in for a treat".

Said "It's not your mind.
It's not your time.
Even if you forget me.
You wear those beads.
Play the part.
Even if you forget me.

But I'm not gone.
Not here.
It's not your song."

A horsethief from in Canada.
Still needing his time.
Misunderstood.
And the proud patriarch.
Unfamiliar land, but this is how you call me.
You should understand.

It's not your mind...
....It's my Time
It's not your time...
...and my mind
Even if you forget me.
